Study visit to the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana

Bilateral Meeting of the representatives of the RS Partner Institutions and colleagues from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana was an occasion for the fruitful exchange of ideas and experience related to the postgraduate professional qualification in pharmacy. Course coordinators of the postgraduate specialization courses met, as well as the representatives of the Slovenian Chamber of Pharmacy and Agency for medicinal products and medical devices of the Republic of Slovenia. Slovenian and Serbian educational systems exhibit numerous similarities since they originated from the common educational system of former Yugoslavia. The exchange of views and experiences of the University of Ljubljana academic staff gained through curriculum reform and harmonization with EU practices and policies is of great importance for the RS Partner Universities.
- Mutual interest for cooperation was expressed and general plan for academic exchange and staff mobility in the forthcoming period agreed upon.
- QP Study Program development, Medicinal Biochemistry curriculum update and the issue of Clinical/Community/Social Pharmacy Curriculum harmonization were identified as most important.
- It was acknowledged that current Tempus project provides the necessary framework for intensification of academic exchange and teacher and student mobility between the SI and RS Consortium Partner Institutions.
